Tipperary Energy Agency is a non profit public good local Energy Agency. It was established in 1998 under the EU SAVE program. It provides services to public bodies, communities and SME’s. The Energy Agency provides significant consultancy to the national Energy Agency on the public sector programme. In addition the Energy Agency completes significant research, development and demonstration projects and programmes for all sectors of society. The Energy Agency has received significant awards in Ireland and Europe for both itself, it’s staff and it’s clients. There are four key programmes/ business units in the TEA with Energy Management and consultancy, Technical project implementation (audits, design, procurement), Community energy support (SEAP development, development, financing, grants), Domestic retrofit (superhomes deep retrofit).
